Spring Blooms with Love: The Wedding of Delaney McGuirk and James Ballard

On April 22, 2023, Delaney McGuirk and James Ballard were joined as husband and wife at Wicked Pony Ranch. McGuirk and Ballard chose the serene Field Arbor as the site of their ceremony. With rolling fields and lush trees behind them for a picture-perfect pastoral setting, the couple spoke their vows and exchanged rings while standing before the Ranch’s signature wooden backdrop, which was draped with tulle and flowers.

Spring blooms influenced the color palette and the bouquets of the celebration. Sage green, blushing pink and muted gray hues adorned the wedding party, mixing the vibrant and romantic beauty of the season with gorgeous grace.

McGuirk’s bridal style was both dreamily dramatic and classically romantic. The bride wore an a-line gown with a lace corset bodice featuring a sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder delicate lace sleeves; the waistline of the gown from Clarice’s Bridal swept into a full tulle skirt adorned with lace appliques. Her tulle veil was accented by two delicate hair combs set with crystal details. McGuirk’s bouquet was arranged with blush roses, pale pink peonies, elegant greenery and a mix of blush and ivory flowers. Makeup artist Dana Tate created a look of elevated elegance that perfectly captured the bride’s beauty.

McGuirk’s bridesmaids wore sage green floor-length chiffon gowns in various styles. They carried small bouquets that mirrored the bride’s arrangement.

The groom selected a gray suit with a sage green tie. Each of the groomsmen matched the groom’s attire.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom, their attendants and their guests celebrated at a reception hosted in the Saloon at Wicked Pony Ranch. Tables were set with pink napkins and adorned with centerpieces that featured a trinity of candles encircled by blush floral accents, greenery and small delicate tea candles. JCM Party Rentals provided the linens.

Classic white frosting, subtle details of greenery and arrangements of flowers in various shades of blush pink decorated the tiered wedding cake. Miss B’s Bakery designed the cake. Black Tie Wedding & Events provided the music and the wedding/reception photography.

Wicked Pony Ranch was excited and honored to be a part of this special day. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ballard!
