On October 16, 2022, Kellie Kavanaugh and Joshua Peterson exchanged vows and celebrated their wedding at Wicked Pony Ranch.
Their celebration embraced the beauty of the fall country meadows of the Ranch. The couple exchanged vows in the Field Arbor, an expansive country field that features picturesque tree lines. For their ceremony, Kellie and Joshua stood in front of a rustic wooden backdrop that was draped in tulle and bedecked with flowers.
Festive fall colors were woven throughout the wedding and reception. The bridesmaids wore dresses in muted hues reflective of shades of the harvest season: golden yellow, pale pumpkin, soft teal, and blushing antique pink. The groom and his groomsmen wore whiskered denim and brown embroidered vests; they topped off the look with cowboy hats.
Kellie chose an A-line gown with a lace appliqued flowing tulle skirt; the intricately beaded bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and delicate spaghetti straps. Her robin’s egg blue high heel sandals served as her ‘something blue.’
Kellie and Joshua chose to write their own vows as part of their ceremony. They also included a special moment where they placed mementos from their wedding, including wine and invitations, into a wooden suitcase.
After the ceremony, guests and the wedding party moved the celebration to Wicked Pony Ranch’s Saloon. The bridesmaids topped their dresses with plaid shackets to stay warm and on the theme. Guests enjoyed a catered dinner and partied through the night.
